What a booking costs on CIRI

On CIRI you pay each seller separately, in full, for exactly what you agreed. There's no deposit and nothing owed later.

What makes up the total

• Agreed price: what the seller quoted and you accepted.
• CIRI service fee (12%): charged on the agreed price.
• Security Protection (£7.99) and Priority Support (£4.99): optional, once per seller payment, covering all of that seller's items in it.

When you pay

• While you're building the project, nothing is taken: the estimate already includes the 12% fee.
• After a seller quotes and you accept, you pay that seller in one payment.
• Your card is authorised first and charged once the seller's time, room or kit is secured for you. If it can't be, the authorisation is released and nothing is charged.

What sellers receive

Sellers are paid the agreed price less CIRI's 12% commission. Their payment for each item is held for 7 days after it completes, in case a problem is reported, then paid out.

Refunds, in short

If you cancel, what comes back depends on how close to the start you are; the 12% fee and add-ons are kept, unless Security Protection's grace applies. If the seller cancels, you get the item and its share of the fee back. Add-ons are never refunded.
